Accordance VAT is a pan-European finance company based in Brighton and Amsterdam. They had a vision of transforming their brand and online presence with a website that broke the mould. A site that would stand out in the world of cross-border taxation. It had to engage. It had to be different.

Accordance wanted a new website that reflected their unique pan-European, people first proposition as well as their new brand positioning. A site that showcased a company culture that put financial experts at the heart of  the business. They had spoken to several agencies about how to achieve this on-line transformation, but without success. Then they asked Big Frank to take a look. We took a different approach.

We led with beautiful travelogue photography. We made it social.

A b2b website as a place where information and ideas are shared, where debate is encouraged between finance experts and clients and where business can be done. The content was dynamic and driven by the user. Customers and Accordance experts sharing ideas to drive an integrated business. It was different, highly engaging and unique in the financial services space.

The homepage needed to communicate the company’s unique energy. So we created a brand video for the header.

Both externally – amongst existing clients, prospective, clients and potential corporate suitors – and internally, the site was a great success, changing perceptions of how it felt to do business with, and to work for, Accordance. Big Frank subsequently created a substantial Brand Book to ensure that the new brand positioning and tone of voice was reflected throughout all internal and external communication – resulting ultimately in the successful company sale that they were working towards.
