The Society of Decorative Art Collections is an Arts Council England recognised subject specialist network, that has been created to share, promote and encourage the study and education of decorative arts across the UK.

Big Frank was appointed, and worked closely with SODAC, to establish its values, positioning and a look and feel that would accurately convey the brand to anyone with a special interest in the curation, conservation, care, exhibition, display, or presentation to the public of the decorative arts. The greatest challenge was to convey a differentiated, contemporary brand that represented the enormous range of decorative art collections since the middle ages and across the globe.

Primary and secondary logos were created, with accompanying colour palette and typographical guidelines along with required social media iconography.

A simple and easily maintained website was then created quickly and cost-effectively to reflect the new brand and provide advice and information to all stakeholders.

“The branding work undertaken by Big Frank is excellent. The team really engaged with our offer and translated our core values into beautiful visuals which enable us to communicate our key messages beautifully. Thank you for all of your work!”
